The Paw Shed was founded by Gaby Swan in 2018, after leaving the corporate world to pursue her own passions. Gaby has a wonderful but very anxious cockerpoo who hated being groomed, and this gave her the idea to launch her own one-on-one grooming service tailored at those nervous pups who had previously had bad experiences. Gaby built a small shed in the garden, trained at an award-winning centre to receive her City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Grooming, and The Paw Shed was born!

With very little external marketing, word spread fast and the diaries began to fill with loyal client who built trusting relationships with Gaby and the team. After little over a year, an expansion was needed, so Gaby moved houses to build a second Paw Shed and keep up with demand. We were also joined by two additional qualified groomers who admired the ethos of The Paw Shed, and shared a common passion for the wellbeing of our clients.

Whilst our ambitions continue to grow, we retain a client-centric approach and the growth has enabled us to improve on the service and time we are able to provide to our clients. We thank each and every one of our pups and humans for all of their loyalty and support and can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
